Multitasking is causing children to have social problems?

According to a new study, young girls who spend the most time multitasking between various digital devices, communicating online or watching video are the least likely to develop normal social tendencies. They surveyed girls but the results should apply to boys as well. When kids are multitasking on different devices they are missing out on learning about emotion, which they learn from watching other people. Facetime and skype are not actual replacements for human interaction. As for adults, heavy multitaskers have cognitive issues such as difficulty focusing or remembering.
